International Education Week (I.E.W.) is a collaborative initiative between the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange on college campuses across the world every November. I.E.W. plays an important part in making an effort to promote programs that prepare U.S. students for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
IPC collaborates with other departments and student groups on UNCG’s campus to promote international education, including the importance of international students and scholars on our campus, study and service abroad, and awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries. IPC sponsors many activities for I.E.W. including the International Photo Contest, information sessions, and intercultural events. In addition, IPC welcomes all campus partners to visit us at the University Teaching and Learning Commons on November 1st from 10:00am-11:30 to be recognized and appreciated for their internationalization efforts on campus.
