In the world of fellowships, there are two deadlines that you should keep in mind:
- Campus Deadlines – The campus deadline is the date by which you should submit a solid draft of your fellowship application to FAM for review. Some fellowships (such as Fulbright and Marshall) require that the applicant be interviewed by a committee of faculty and staff before submission. These deadlines offer an opportunity for you to get valuable feedback on your application in advance of the national submission deadline.
- National Deadlines – This is the final deadline set by the organization sponsoring your specific fellowship. You should plan to have your final application submitted no later than this date, although it is prudent to apply a few days in advance.
